“i am a monument to all your sins” is such a fucking raw line for a villain it’s amazing that it came from halo, a modernish video game, and not some classical text or mythos

classic texts have nothing on the crazy people come up with in modern times tbh

“I survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me.”

– Joshua Graham, Who Is A Fallout New Vegas NPC, Something Most People Throwing This Quote Around Don’t Realize

“If the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have.”

– Shadow the Hedgehog in what is widely considered one of if not the single worst game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise

this is the source for this text and it haunts me on a regular basis

Different shapes of gemstones and their meanings.

justanothergrey:

Each crystal or gemstone can be found in many different shapes, but actually each one has specific properties. Here are some of them:

Tumbled Stones

This stones are the ones whose shape has been smoothed or polished from their raw form. Ideal for meditation, affirmations and altar work. This shape evens and gentle energy.

image

Abundance stones

This is basically an elongated crystal with clustered, smaller crystals around it. This is perfect for wealth and abundance, hence it’s name. Useful, for example, to use in business.

image

Natural point stones

Not necessary a wand-like crystal, they’re any part of a faceted crystal with a point that has formed naturally and not precisely perfected. This are useful to draw energy from a body or to the body. Perfect for cleansing and healing.

image

Generator stones

A Generator will have six facets (of equal or unequal proportions) that meet into one point. It gets its name for its ability to generate amplified energy, boosting the power of other stones, or the stone it is made of. This type of formation is also very powerful for charging other stones.

image

Geode

Geodes have the ability to hold energy within and soften it, allowing it to naturally flow out and disperse evenly. These formations are great for protection or for assisting with healing abusive habits such as alcoholism and abusive internal monologues.

image

Raw stones

Raw stones are in their natural form and have not been smoothed, polished or altered. Also they’re often considered as more fragile than it’s relatives. They are great for all spiritual work.

image

Pyramid stones

This refers to four equal triangle faces and a square base. This is pretty often used in healing, it’s useful for warding off negative energy and also removing blocks from the chakra system. Also good for affirmations and manifestation work.

image

Spheres

These powerful formations are great for scrying. As it’s form is smooth from every possible angle, is believed that light, energy and time pass through it with no rules or hindrances, hence their scrying abilities.

image

Cubes

Perfect for grounding energies and intentions, believed that energy is contained and enhanced in this stone shape. Transmutes negative to positive energy, perfect for mindfulness and concentration.

I saw a news report about this on T.V., she was a straight A Student who had perfect attendance and everything. Everyone loved and respected her for her skills, but when she started this experiment and people thought she was pregnant, they started treating her like garbage. Even her teachers started looking down on her like she was scum of the earth. The only people who knew she was doing this as an experiment were her school principal, her health care teacher, her boyfriend, and her mother. Her own siblings thought she was pregnant!

I mean even her friends turned on her, it was horrid. Very very sad, and as soon as she revealed during an assembly that the pregnancy was false, a lot of people were in shock as she brought up all the horrible things they said and did to her because they thought she was pregnant.

The reason for the experiment was to see how people would react and treat her if they thought she was pregnant, as opposed as to treating her as the straight A “Perfect” student they usually did. And it proved that people were horrible scumbags to her as soon as they thought she was.

holy shit. this is fucking awesome

I read this chick’s book! It was so cool.

Her book is The Pregnancy Project by Gaby Rodriguez

Pretty sure I reblogged something about this in the past, but now someone’s posted a book title and I want to read this book

I read the book and saw the lifetime movie

***SPOILERS***

She came from a family with a history of teen pregnancies but she was the exception to the rule. As her senior project she wanted to see how things would change for her if she “succumbed” to what was expected of her by society and statistics. basically she told her bf for his permission and one or two school officials (I think her sister or mother as well but I read it soo long ago).

The teachers who didn’t know immediately began to look down on her, most of her friends abandoned her. He bf’s family told him to leave her and she basically became the school outcast. Only the other pregnant girls were friendly to her. At the end of the school year she made a big presentation to the school giving them facts about teen pregnancy and telling them about her experiences as a pregnant teen including things they had said to or about her. Then she finally revealed that she wasn’t pregnant. Some people were mad that she had tricked them but overall they understood why she had done it.

Assholes weren’t mad that she tricked them, they were mad because she exposed them for what they really were: a pack of shitheads.

16.favorite makeup brand(s)

I actually like NYX and lots of I guess cheaper brands? I use all different kinds, covergirl sometimes or wet ‘n wild. I also like drug store make up sometimes. though I am allergic to all coverup and foundation, it gives me hives. Lipsticks though I use all sorts of high end brands.

90. do you wash your face? at night? in the morning?

I do every time I shower or take a bath. I use soap for sensitive skin (it is a facial soap) with a soft wash clothe. I wash my face for a short while then I thoroughly rinse. About once a week I will massage in coconut oil on any dry patches before a shower, let it soak a tiny bit then gently rinse it in the shower. I don’t do it too often since I don’t need to make my skin more oily (though mostly I just get dry skin). If I feel that I need or I’m looking to pamper myself I will use a carrot and kale mud mask for black heads and pores or a charcoal paper mask.

Due to my work schedule usually I bathe/shower in the early evening around 5pm

im not scared of death but excited for afterlife. I know spirits can go where they please and interfere in our lives positively or negatively. I would love to spend my time exploring the forest, without ever getting tired. being able to guide a lost cat home. Seek the end of a river. I believe that the life after this will reward us for what we have endured on earth.

Stimmy Witch Tips

themanicnami:

Here are some magickal tips for people who, like me, stim for whatever reason.

image
  • Charge your stim toys and slime in moonlight to cleanse
  • When playing with kinetic sand or slime focus on putting your negative feelings and energies into it as you squeeze and twist them in your fingers. Be sure to cleanse afterwards
  • Play with different toys, slime, sand, etc based off of their colors for easy color magick such as orange slime for motivation, green squishy for learning/education, yellow sand for inspiration, etc
  • Enchant your squishies, fidget cubes, spinners, tangles, etc to bring you peace of mind, relaxation, focus, motivation, or whatever else you may need it for
  • Use Glitter bottles for meditation and scrying
  • Drag sigils on your fidget spinners, so every time you use it, you activate the sigil on it
  • Draw sigils in kinetic sand or slime then to activate squish and squeeze it
  • Use plushies based off of their appearances such as what animal, food, or fruit they are based off of
  • When making slime, stir clockwise to focus on putting intent into the slime you are making such as for it to bring you peace of mind or focus when playing with it. Or stir it counter-clockwise for intents like banishing negative thoughts or anxiety when using the slime
  • I love deco slime so add in items that relate to your intent like bead color and shape, glitter color, confetti, etc
  • For those of us with wandering minds, use fidget toys or stim toys to help you focus when chanting, working on a spell or meditating
  • After an exhausting spell, ritual or curse use your stimming toy or object of choice to help relax and rest after a spell well done.
  • Use glitter bottles, orbs, and wands/sticks to represent the stars in the sky or other cosmic bodies for cosmic witchcraft
  • Glitter wands also make wonderful wands! Especially for spells related to motion, water or wind, the sky or stars and anything related to the colors in the wand
  • For those who love paint mixing, choose your colors based off of intent and mix them together as the spell itself
  • Use gifs and videos of stimming to help you during spells and keep you calm if needed or to just add added intent from the things in the videos
  • Chewing stim toys are great for anger relief, think about all of your frustrations and anger going into the chew stim or anythign else you wish to banish from yourself, then soak in water or cleanse in the sun/moonlight
  • Orbeez are great for color magic and mixing them with your fingers and hands to charge and activate the spell. Just do not ingest

Hope this helps all of my fellow stimming witches! Stimming toys, slime, sand, etc etc are all great to use in witchcraft. I personally love slime and deco-slime. I always use it after or during a spell to help me keep my focus.

Hope you all have a wonderful day dears!!! ^0^

Director Lexi Alexander outs herself as Shitty Men In Media List Creator

The list first began circulating last fall not long after the New York Times published its exposé on Harvey Weinstein on October 5, the Shitty Men in Media list spotlighted men in Big Apple circles. Naming names, allegations on the list went from “inappropriate communication” to rape. In a tone of transparency, the list also noted that some of the details it contained were “rumors” and should be taken as such.

The announcement came after revelations that writer Katie Roiphe had been researching the originator of the list for a piece planned for Harper’s March issue. The move was widely criticized with many writers and editors encouraging writers to pull their pieces from Harper’s in order to protest the piece and protect the name of the creator.

UPDATE: Lexi is not the originator of the piece but is one of many women claiming credit in order to protect the true identity of the originator.

The ”No, I’M Spartacus” approach?

That’s a bold and risky move, and I offer all respect to the women involved.

Corians

spiritconnect:

image

Corians are spirits who come from another dimension’s realm and are the embodiments of ink and color.

Appearance:

  • Corians look mostly like humans, but colorful.
  • Each individual can take a specific animal form, as well.
  • Each individual is a different color, and said color usually manifests in their hair, eyes, and skin. They tend to dress in their color as well.
  • There is a separate clan of Corians that consists of grey/black shaded individuals, they sometimes are mistaken for shadow people.

Characteristics:

  • Due to being made out of ink, Corans are resistant and do not take physical damage in fights.
  • However, for the same reason, water is extremely dangerous for them, for they dissolve in contact with it.
  • Their ink can be toxic if they so desire. Staining can be poisonous, and may or may not be permanent. This only happens when there is intention.
  • Corians live long lives, being 200 ~ 500 earth years is still a young age for their kind.
  • They live in society.
  • The act of “consuming” one another is not unusual in their culture, specially as an act of love and devotion. Two or more individuals will become one, mixing their colors together. Separation is possible, although difficult.
  • That is also a method of domination, and a crime when done against one’s will.

Offerings:

Corians are quite hard to encounter or bumb into as they prefer not to leave their home realm, but just in case, they might enjoy:

  • Things in their respective color
  • Rainbow themes
  • Reflective surfaces
  • Ink
  • Paintings
  • etc.

Hey I don’t mean to seem disrespectful or ignorant but why doesn’t Tumblr have Wizards?

I think its because at least from my own knowledge (i could be wrong) wizards are things of well fiction, witches come from several cultures and practices and often are related (but not always) historically to paganism. This of course isn’t true in all witchcraft or cultures, but generally people go with witch due to that. At least in my experience

Bubbles in Magick

themanicnami:

Bubbles are whimsical and fun mixes of Air and Water, and hold a magic of all their own. Many of us have fond memories of using bubbles s children whether it was from blowing them out in the summer breeze or baths overflowing with them.

Correspondences of Bubbles

Bubbles have several correspondences and uses when it comes to magick and witchcraft. Due to their whimsical and nostalgic nature they are often associated with inspiration, creativity, childhood, wonder and fantasy. Bubbles are also wonderful for protection, cleansing and purification spells seeing as they are often made through using soap. Due to the shape and shine of many bubbles they are often associated with scrying and psychic abilities as well.

Bubble Uses

Bubbles and Cleansing

There are various ways to use bubbles to cleanse oneself or their space. The most simple and obvious way being using soap in the shower or bath and while washing one’s self imagining any dark, heavy emotion and energy one has being being sucked up into the bubbles and foam, trapped inside them. Then as the bubbles go down the drain, visualize all that toxicity going with it.

One can also use a bubble wand and bubble liquid to remove their negativity by visualizing as you blow the bubbles that all your breath going into them is filled with the negativity you wish to remove from yourself. This method is best down outside to ensure when the bubble pops it doesn’t just re-release the negativity in your living space.

To cleanse one’s space or home with bubbles is simple. You either clean it gently where you are able to use soap or you may leave a dish of bubble liquid out overnight. Once it has set out you may dispose of it down the sink or outside via blowing bubbles.

Bubbles and Wishes

Like my previous Bubble Spell, bubbles are wonderful for wish making. Focus on the wish and intent you have. Let it build up in your chest and lungs then release it as you blow your bubbles. Watch them float up into the sky and once they burst know that your wish has been released out into the universe.

Bubble Scrying

Bubble scrying is one of my favorite methods of simple divination. While in a bath filled with bubble bath, close your eyes and focus on your energy. Use your finger to stir in the water and foam of the bubbles. Ask your question or what you seek in your mind our outloud. Once you are satisfied stop your stirring and open your eyes. Watch and focus on the way the bubbles move and wait. Once you see shapes and images in the soap that feel to have a significance remember what they are. I often use the associations used in tasseography to determine what the shapes and images mean.

Sigil Baths

themanicnami:

What is a sigil bath?

Simply put it’s a bath that you can put sigils into and to activate them without using fire. It’s a wonderful way to practice “in the forest” magic or if you’re in an apartment safer to do.

They are great for glamour, beauty, cleansing, and pretty much any other thing you can think of. Make sure the sigils in the bath don’t “fight each other”. By this I mean, putting a sigil for “energy” in the same bath as a sigil for “relaxation” isn’t beneficial. Likely, the two would cancel each other out. Make sure they correspond together and work well such as a job success sigil with a luck sigil and confidence sigil used together before an interview. Or a happiness sigil used with a self-love sigil after a bad day.

What you will need:

  • Sigils of your choice
  • Washable markers
  • Paper (lined or printer)
  • Salt (any kind, I use epsom)
  • Moon Water
  • (optional) Bubble Bath of choice
  • (optional) Sachet of Herbs that correspond with Sigils

Steps:

  • Gather your supplies together and make sure your bathroom is clean as well as the tub. Find the sigils you wish to use. Meditate or center yourself if needed.
  • Select the colors of markers you wish to use. I recommend you use colors that correspond with the purpose of your sigil. On the either torn or cut down pieces of paper so they are about palm sized, draw a sigil. For each sigil use a different piece of paper. If wanted you may write words on pieces as well or with the sigils.
  • Start your bath. Make sure it is warm but not scalding. As the water fills add in your bubble bath if you wish to use it and your sachet of herbs if you wish to use them too.
  • Once tub is half filled add in your salt, I usually add about a tablespoon maybe two so I don’t get dry skin. Pour in your moon water as well.
  • Place or sprinkle the sigils into the bath then get in.
  • Soak and relax, meditate if you can. The sigils in the bath will fade due to the washable ink and they will activate inside of the bath. Feel their energy and think about their intent, feel how they charge the water.
  • Once you are satisfied with your bath remove the paper carefully from the water before draining to prevent clogging.
  • Continue on with the rest of your day!
