I am a front desk agent, in the lobby. They are in the offices either below, above or even in the next door building to me. I can try calling them before I transfer you but I cannot physically see if they are currently sitting at their desk.
People just leave voicemails. I can’t help you further than transferring you and offering to give you their email!

this reminded me, in the mid 90s Mattel released a cabbage patch kid called the “snacktime” kid that had a rolling mechanism in its mouth that allowed it to eat food. but… this mechanism was one way and would continue to roll until nothing was touching the mechanism anymore. a bunch of kids got their hair caught in the doll’s mouth and some of them had to have their hair cut off to escape
Not to mention reports of bruising, cuts and how one girl was apparently partially scalped by it yanking her hair out until she bled and had to go to the ER. That one (from reports) being the main reason it was recalled nation wide >_>

Look I know I may seem like a witchy search engine… and I am quite good at it, but there is an actual person behind the keyboard. So like… say hi or something? Don’t type to me like you would to an actual search engine with no person behind it?
Also the fact that I linked to lost item spells TWO posts ago kinda irks me too. (it was literally the last ask I answered too)
I am not wanting to be rude… but asking specifically like this is rude to me and is getting really old. If you want to ask me a question, go for it! I love questions! Its why my ask box is still open! I love communicating and offering opinions on things! But remember that I am a PERSON. So send me asks as such? Thanks.

I feel this. I am more than happy to link things if I can (mobile not always link friendly) or even help explain correspondences but this sort of wording irks me. I always delete things that are just… dehumanizing?
I normally just delete them and forget about it but I have gotten a few like that recently and it just irritated me too much. I have lists and lists of links on my blog I have put together for people. Some are listed in my masterlist and most are not but I am always happy to pull them up again if someone asks… but just treat me like a living thing.
Oh I definitely agree. And I’ve went off on an anon too for this very reason. Like, as a post a friend long ago made, we are still people running these blogs and very very few of us are making money or even commissions off of our blogs.
But for all its worth I think your blog is amazing and you do a wonderful job running it

I love the Winnie the Pooh newspaper comics. Everyone’s such a dick to eachother, it’s so out of character. Is it simply called “Winnie the Pooh”? I never bothered to read the title, I just call it “It’s Always Sunny in the Hundred Acre Woods”

If you don’t want to read the article, it basically says the telltale violated a California law that business that do mass layoffs have to provide a 60 day notice to all employees that are being terminated. They didn’t do this, because according to them, the federal (not state) law says that if there are “business circumstances” i.e. no money, then they can just lay workers off whenever and without warning. If telltale loses the lawsuit, they’ll have to pay all 275 workers they laid off their wages worth of 60 days of work!

My family has lived in Iowa for, oh, a hundred and twenty years? Maybe a hundred and thirty.
My grandpa and grandma and great grandpa and grandma were part of the penny auctions and bullying bankers and mortgage holders into behaving.
Grandpa was 6′ 3″. Great grandpa was an inch shorter. Both were big old farm boys, who could heft an eighty pound hay bale in each hand and toss them up on the hay wagon.
Grandma told me a few times about how they went around with some of their buddies to ‘explain things’ to mortgage holders during the Depression, and how the farmers would all get together for coffee and settle among everyone in the township how no one was going to bid on the Miller auction but the Millers, and oh, if everyone could chip in fifty cents or so to loan the Millers to buy their land and equipment back at the auction, that’d be the Right Thing To Do.
This is still a point of pride for many farming families around here, decades later.

Night at the Museum is seriously one of the most underappreciated movie franchises – and one of my favourites. A a giant history and film nerd, it was so refreshing to see such ACCURATE portrayals, without losing any of the huomor or the heart. I love it
*sobbing* now I need to watch this again. Every time this shows up!! I love this movie sooo much! It’s amazing.
