Itās ironic that I work in education but I donāt know how to make an art tutorial, so hereās my sad attempt! Forgive me if itās useless.
I LOVE drawing hair, itās always been my favorite, although Iām a bit of a perfectionist and therefore hair is usually the part that takes me the longest when I work on a piece. It involves a lot of experimentation and drawing the same lines over and over until I get the right shape or flow and it requires a lot of patience (at least for me). Is there a right way to draw hair? Of course not! Thatās the beauty of it. Every artist is unique and will have their own style, itās all about trying new techniques to see what works best for you. *blows kiss*
Okay here we go!Ā
I generally have three main steps: a loose sketch, a more refined sketch to build a cleaner design, then the final lineart. I also tend to make about 3 or 4 sketches to find the right hairstyle or flow. (Iām also indecisive as f**k)Ā Ā
Things I think about:
Action, dimension, shape, flow, movement and how itāll interact with the body or whatās around it
Is there wind? Is the character outside? What are they doing and how would the hair respond to that? Is it pulled behind the ear? Wrapped around the neck? Tied up?Ā
References and inspiration – I always use a reference of some kind just to remind myself what I like or what I want to see, itās the best tool to keep myself on track. Sometimes I even use my own art just to see what how Iāve done it before and what I liked about it.Ā Donāt be scared of reference! (Example: Alphonse Muchaās art is a major inspiration, I LOVE his use of line weight, shape and flow)
Using Gladioās face from a wip Iām currently working on, I tried to draw some of my process out:

Steps:
Sketch – Loose and messy gesture lines to show the general shape and movement. Itās okay if your sketch looks like a hot mess, itās supposed to!! I have a hard time staying loose myself, so Iām working on that. Usually my sketches are very dramatic haha.Ā
Refined Sketch – This is where I start to actually define the strands and the general shapes. By using my sketch as a guide, I can then build the design and the more individual strands and how they interact with each other. This can take a while (like it takes me hours). I try to go slower and Iāll end up reworking it a few times before Iām happy. Tip: reverse your canvas! It helps you see if your hair is more or less balanced or if something looks off.Ā
Final Lineart – At this step, I strengthen my lines and erase lines where I want the flow to be more continuous. I also add detail lines and extra strands or flyaway hairs for a more interesting or complex design. The example above is still too messy or simple for what I normally like, but thatās okay. Also, what the heck is up with that messy bun? What am I even doing?Ā
Final points:
Find inspiration and examples of what you like! This can be from other artists, movies, nature – literally anything. References are your best friend.
Experiment and try new things – Iām always trying to push my designs further and learn new skills
Keep your sketches loose and messy! I like to warm up by drawing circles, ovals or like the infinity/8 shape over and over again.Ā
Play with line weight and thin vs thicker hair strands. Have the hair interact with something, whether itās an ear or a shoulder or itself. Push yourself for an interesting design. (Gotta push myself too! It can be a frustrating process)
The more you practice, the better you get (cliche, but itās so true)
Honestly, I donāt even know what Iām doing half the time and my skills have a long way to go. So weāre on this hair journey together! ā¤Ā

Google has several ways to try and decide which site are the best, but one of them is that it looks at how popular it is by seeing how many other websites link to it. If a lot of other sites are linking to it, it was probably useful to them, so Google will put it on the front page.
So if Iām a sleazy pornsite owner, I could create like a thousand websites and make them all link to my āwife caught her husband cheatingā site, and act like a whole bunch of different websites thought it was pretty great. Everyone going shopping on Black Friday, be aware of three things:
The retail workers are working 12 hours shifts. We are threatened with losing our jobs if we donāt show up unless weāre dying in the hospital. I had an assistant manager show up with fucking strep because he wouldāve been fired otherwise. Yes, he did infect 7 and hospitalize 2 coworkers; who knows how many members of the public he infected.
The stores have, maybe, 5 of that special cheap thing youāre after. Corporate does this on purpose, and stores are not allowed to order enough. The prices arenāt even that much lower. They lie about how expensive something is to fool you into thinking youāre getting a discount. You arenāt.
Most of the workers you will come across will be new hires for the sole purpose of being bodies for about three months before theyāre fired. They actually donāt know anything because theyāve been working there for maybe two weeks, and have had no real training. I was once hired at Staples a week before Black Friday and expected to know how to deal with phones, coupons, the online ordering site, and AS400 after five 6-hour shifts. This is the kind of person you will likely be dealing with at Black Friday.
Do me and my retail family a favor and donāt shop Black Friday. Any company that needs a sale day like Black Friday to get their sales out of the red doesnāt deserve to be in business.Ā
This also goes for anyone that works shipment too. Weāre suddenly expected to stay as late as they want you to even if they know you donāt have a car and rely on a ride to get you to and from work and know you canāt stay late. Shipment workers will suddenly start getting berated for not getting things done and it is by far the most stressful time to be a shipment worker for any store. Especially when they throw in new hires that donāt know how to process things and are expected to work at the same pace as the people that have worked there for a while.

They believe that what they are doing is for the best even if from anotherās view its not. I know that this is a common sub-plot thing with the wholeĀ āeveryoneās a hero in their own eyesā but by this I mean they may doing what is best for their country or team but to the other side it is not the best for them.
Misunderstanding of the situation at hand, people make mistakes and miscommunications happen (which sorta falls under misinformed)
The need to succeed or feel like the winner (this can push people to do very rash and dangerous things)
Beliefs whether religious or righteousness, yes a lot of people donāt like these traits vilified but sometimes the stride to be perfect or pure in a faith or custom or culture can result in harming others or suppressionĀ
Desperation, people will do terrible things when absolutely desperate and cornered. Maybe they are being black mailed, maybe their only home is being threatened, maybe theyāre financially wrecked – all things that people have done very drastic terrible things to stop.
Lies – again yes I know some people feel this overused but I mean little lies building up more and more. This person has lied for so long that if they donāt keep up the lies its going to fall apart. If they get found out their reputation or livelihood may be ruined.Ā
