Not to sound rude but need to vent.
If one more person my age from a wealthy family tells me while checking in or checking out “you just travel! thats what I do! It’s so fulfilling and wonderful and blah blah blah only costs thousands and thousands of dollars! I stayed at a hotel for a week for like 3k!” to me im going to scream. Sir/Ma’am do you think that I would be here, dealing with the stuff I deal with at the front desk right now if I could afford to travel for a year or two off of my family’s money? Do you think I’d be working 2 jobs and 12 to 18 hour days? No, no I would not.
I have a few focus spells on my blog to help with focus and concentration though there are tons of postings all over tumblr for improving studying, schoolwork and grades on here. I am unfortunately at work and can’t go outside of the ‘main tumblr’ dashboard. if I try to go to my blog or others blogs it just blocks me due to our weird security here that blocks ‘personal websites’
good job, guys, we’re killing the shitty pet food industry this time. it can’t POSSIBLY be that we just recognized Gravy Train or Kibbles and Bits for being piss poor food choices; no, we’re just treating our pets too nicely.

One of my old partners got pulled in for an investigation today. The photo is not of him – it’s of a paramedic in California trying to eat something for the first time in nearly ten hours.
My old partner was told that a member of the public took photos of him and his current partner. My buddy was sleeping, and his partner was eating. This member of the public sent the photos with an email that both complained about how “unprofessional” it appeared – and a threat to send the photos to the media.
Thanks to Prop 11 in California, first responders no longer have a right to breaks. AMR lied to the public in a huge way. California was the only state where emergency crews had been granted a legal right to breaks to use the latrine and have a meal. Shifts run a minimum of 12 hours, often 24, and AMR runs their crews into the ground.
My buddy and his partner are in trouble because they were trying to get rest and food while posted on a street corner because we don’t get breaks. This is what AMR tells us to do. Please don’t see something like this and assume that we’re being lazy or not doing our jobs. Don’t take photos or send them to the press. That crew is probably exhausted and overworked.
Medics and EMTs are HUMAN,
It may be surprising, but we *gasp* actually need food. And sleep! And sometimes, there’s no time to go back to the station between calls to do these things. I don’t understand why people tend to think it’s unprofessional for police/fire/EMS/anyone working 12+ hour shifts to be seen eating while on duty. People who work 8 hours get lunch breaks, we don’t have those, you have to find time to eat/sleep/use the bathroom.
I had a blind professor, last semester, and I swung through his office to make up an exam. It was a while before I knew he was in there because he was sitting with the lights off. I finally went in, apologized, and took the exam by the light of a nearby window (which was fine). Forty-five minutes into dead silence he panicked and yelled in this booming voiced, “WAIT, YOU CAN SEE!!!” before diving across his desk to turn on the lights. I’m sure he was embarrassed but I thought it was endearing and it highlighted a large aspect of disabled life that I hadn’t previously considered.
Sort of relatedly I once had professor who was deaf, but she had learned to read lips and speak so she could communicate easily with hearing people who didn’t know sign language. One day she had gotten off topic and was talking a little about her personal life, so that one of the students said “Oh, I know, I grew up in Brooklyn too.”
She stared at him for a long time and then said “How do you know I’m from Brooklyn?”
And he said “You have a Brooklyn accent.”
She said “I do?” and the whole class nodded, and then she burst out laughing and said “I had no idea! The school where I learned to speak was in Brooklyn. I learned by moving my mouth and tongue the way my teachers did. So I guess it makes sense that I have their accent, I just never thought about it.”

Hey there! I don’t normally practice or work with dragons but I do know that often they like to stay in places or territories they have grown use to. They could just like the area and simply choose to stay there seeing it as their space and territory. It could also be that they are passing through for the time and are taking a break. Many spirits and entities like to move about as people do, some do more traveling than others.
As for communication the best beginning method for communicating with entities and spirits would be likely the pendulum. I personally believe ouija boards are effective too but they aren’t for everyone and not always beginner friendly. You can also try trance work, scrying (black mirror may work best with a spirit), dream work, meditation, astral work, automatic writing, tarot and other forms of divination. You can also if you are more experienced with spirits and spirit work simply speak out loud to it, though this method is often ‘one sided’ if someone is not use to working with spirits.
I can understand that and feel free to browse my grimoire for links to my curses and hexes or search my blog tags “cursing” and “curse” that should pull up everything I have personally posted and reblogged. I would recommend possibly binding her as well to prevent spreading rumors or secrets in the future (which you can find my binding posts and reblogs under “binding”)

We have this guest who is a regular when he is visiting from Europe, he is mostly a traveling business person. He is extremely vain but at the same time one of the nicest people I know. he likes to brag a bit and all but he also shares compliments more than most guests, he will leave raving reviews, he will tip pretty much everyone even front desk workers and the complaints he does ever have are very mild. He’ll ask people about their days and its just very interesting. Most people assume someone who is very vain and ‘mighty’ are immediately rude but really he isn’t. He is oddly enough one of my favorite guests.

Te Reo Maori (the mother tongue of New Zealand) was almost exterminated in the 1950′s-60′s because white people tried to eradicate it. Only a very small and very determined group of Maori activists were able to keep it alive.
This was so recent my dad remembered it happening.
Now the language is mandatory to learn at Primary School level. Language extermination is awful and a lot of countries suffer/have suffered from it.

Tumblr’s official word is they’re having ‘a problem’ with the app that they’re working to clean up, but there’s a non-zero chance the two things are related. Apple kicks apps that don’t meet their cleanliness standards out of the store without warning sometimes. (I suspect that blogs properly tagged nsfw are being purged while non-tagged nsfw blogs remain untouched. hence: the pornbots are here to stay. probably.)
if your blog is nsfw, or you have any nsfw sideblogs, probably time to back them up & brace.
If your account(s) have been nuked, submit a ticket, inundate them because of their fuck-up.
I would strongly discourage blaming any discoursers on tumblr – fandom police or otherwise – for the purge.
First: as noted above, it may not be deliberate on their end. Tumblr’s coding is. Well. A mess. I wouldn’t put it past possibility. (Hence: take the time to notify tumblr if you don’t believe your deletion was deserved.)
Second: tumblr bloggers are not clients, so we’re unlikely to have site impact at this scale. Getting individual blogs mass-reported into oblivion? Yes. But fandom policers have a myopic outlook that prevents them from organizing a campaign that puts tumblr under so much pressure they just wipe out NSFW content entirely. (The effort is too long-term & seems only semi-adjacent to their goals.)
Rather: we’re eyeballs that advertisers want to reach. Losing the ability to gain eyeballs via the iOS App Store means tumblr loses advertising value. that hurts their bottom line – which seems much more likely to get tumblr off its ass, trying to look like they’re cleaning up their act.
Let’s not start a blame war over this. This is much more likely to be a marketability thing than a fandom politics thing.

until law enforcement has gotten involved and the work is done, we won’t have a complete story (and even then, we may not get one). however, the context is clear: the images being targeted are exploitative images of real csa/cp victims that reached the platform because it was not previously included in the industry-wide database. the current reaction appears to be a widespread trawl/overhaul to locate, identify, and purge any other cp that was not previously caught.
The work being done to complete the cleanup is clearly very sloppy, and a lot of well-known blogs posting explicit sexual images of many kinds are being purged from tumblr.
but the current blog purge appears to be a rushed attempt to wipe any and all real child porn from tumblr’s servers – not an attempt to wipe out explicit fanart of adolescent characters.*
