I am not an expert at contacting the dead specifically. Spirit communication yes but thats with spirits around me due to being able to see and hear them. I would ask @death-witch-envy for more specific communication. I am not sure if she will be knowledgeable in this but she is the most well researched death witch I know on this site.
(also I am very sorry for your loss, it is never easy to lose a loved one)
So my dad is currently in the hospital due to heart issues. Due to this, I may not be as active on here.
Well dear the best advice I have is make a schedule, start small and take baby steps. Everyone is new at something, tackling a big huge ritual you don’t feel ready for will definitely make you freeze. Start with small spells and activities. Warm yourself up before witchcraft, ground yourself, cleanse yourself, meditate. Plus don’t be a hindrance for yourself, over thinking anything will prevent you from doing it.
not to be controversial but the reason they wont pass a law saying that people with a history of domestic violence arent legally allowed to purchase a gun is bc half of the police force would no longer be legally allowed to hold their jobs.
this ain’t tea this is hennessy
based on reporting, 10% of families in the general population endure domestic violence.
escaping abusive partners in law enforcement is made particularly difficult for these victims, because police officers
are armed
know the otherwise confidential locations of domestic abuse shelters
are able to game the system in order to avoid punishment
are often friends with the very officers who would be called to assist in a domestic situation
and can sometimes redirect blame onto the victims—one of my coworkers knows someone whose spouse was a cop who got her arrested for kidnapping when she fled with her children.
And if you claim “stresses of the job” as an excuse for this, or shooting unarmed people, or anything else cops do that’s fucked up, go to hell.
What Really Happened in the Congo: Belgium’s ‘Heart of Darkness’
Leopold famously said when he was forced to hand over the Congo Free State to the Belgian nation: “I will give them my Congo but they have no right to know what I have done there,” and proceeded to burn archives.

On March 22nd all of the inhabitants and their supporters were forcibly removed or arrested.

…for the Olympics
Seriously, why isn’t this all over my dash?
Fuck the Olympics
the preparation for the olympics is honestly so fucked up like it is very common for people to have their homes demolished to make way for the olympics (related articles xxxxx )
The Japanese Lantern plant, also known as the Chinese lantern or winter cherry, is a popular symbol of ‘life within death.’ It blooms in the winter, but when it dries up in the spring, the ‘skin’ crumbles away, revealing the red fruit that lives inside its ‘skeleton.’ The seeds are also used as offerings to guide the souls of the dead. stop telling people ouija boards summon demons 2k18
But they can summon demons… that’s why novices should never try them alone. HAVE YOU EVER WATCH A MOVIE ABOUT SPIRITS??? THEY ALWAYS HAVE GOOD INTENTIONS BUT DONT KNOW WHAT THEYRE DOIND AND NEXT THING YOU KNOW YOU ARE BEING RAPED BY A DEMON AGAINST THE CELLAR
I mean I hate to break it to you @alessandra-ives but… movies aren’t real. The people in them are not the actual people but are actors, pretending to be those people. They’re reading of a script. The demons are special effects created by computers, and sometimes Doug Jones in a monster suit. Movies are not documentaries. They’re not real life. I’m sorry to totally shatter your entire world by this news.
No shit. But still don’t play with ouijas, you really don’t know what you are inviting in when you use it without some knowledge of the thing. It’s as basic as that. Don’t go around telling people that things don’t do things that said things can actually do.
Oh my good gods lmao
Anyways, anyone who spreads the false information that they do is getting blocked because I don’t have the shells to argue on this anymore.
If you wanna learn more about Ouija boards shout out to the @theouijagirl who has a shit ton of information on Ouija boards and even a some fae knowledge!
@alessandra-ives you realize you’re saying this on a post meant for people who know what they’re doing, and are trying to stop misinformation from being spread. You’re kind of looking like an idiot. Don’t go around telling people about things you have no idea about to the people who actually know. Ouija boards don’t summon demons. Ouija boards don’t invite anything in. It’s as basic as that. Moron.

The thing about sewing in magick it uses all sorts of combinations with other types of magick. You can sew your intent into something using sigils or energy work, you can use thread color correspondences, the kind of knot you use to tie it off incorporates knot magick and if you’re doing embroidery or cross stitching the images themselves can be used as correspondences.
Someone who isn’t a witch: Why do you have like 5 different tarot decks? Don’t they all say the same thing?
Me: Well no, it depends on whether I want to be slapped in the face with my own stupidity or if I want my stupidity calmy handed to me with a pat on the back
ALICE ROOSEVELT WAS HARDCORE. “She was known as a rule-breaker in an era when women were under great pressure to conform. The American public noticed many of her exploits. She smoked cigarettes in public, swore at officials, rode in cars with men, stayed out late partying, kept a pet snake named Emily Spinach (Emily as in her spinster aunt and Spinach for its green color) in the White House, and was seen placing bets with a bookie.
So what I’m reading here is, she was a Roosevelt?
Well I have a new hero.
Her whole wikipedia article is gold
“When her father was governor of New York, he and his wife proposed that Alice attend a conservative school for girls in New York City. Pulling out all the stops, Alice wrote, ‘If you send me I will humiliate you. I will do something that will shame you. I tell you I will.’”
“Her father took office in 1901 following the assassination of President William McKinley, Jr. in Buffalo (an event that she greeted with “sheer rapture.”)“
“During the cruise to Japan, Alice jumped into the ship’s pool fully clothed, and coaxed a congressman to join her in the water. (Years later Bobby Kennedy would chide her about the incident, saying it was outrageous for the time, to which the by-then-octogenarian Alice replied that it would only have been outrageous had she removed her clothes.”
“She was dressed in a blue wedding dress and dramatically cut the wedding cake with a sword (borrowed from a military aide attending the reception)”
“When it came time for the Roosevelt family to move out of the White House, Alice buried a Voodoo doll of the new First Lady, Nellie Taft, in the front yard.”
“Later, the Taft White House banned her from her former residence—the first but not the last administration to do so. During Woodrow Wilson’s administration (from which she was banned in 1916 for a bawdy joke at Wilson’s expense)…”
“As an example of her attitudes on race, in 1965 her African-American chauffeur and one of her best friends, Turner, was driving Alice to an appointment. During the trip, he pulled out in front of a taxi, and the driver got out and demanded to know of him, “What do you think you’re doing, you black bastard?” Turner took the insult calmly, but Alice did not and told the taxi driver, “He’s taking me to my destination, you white son of a bitch!”
“To Senator Joseph McCarthy, who had jokingly remarked at a party “Here’s my blind date. I am going to call you Alice”, she sarcastically said “Senator McCarthy, you are not going to call me Alice. The trashman and the policeman on my block call me Alice, but you may not.”
I love this woman.
WOMEN WHO NEED FUCKEN MOVIES.
This is Alice as an older lady. The pillow says “If you can’t say something good about someone, sit right here by me.”
I just got tipped >-> that never happens at the front desk. Today IS a good day!
Me: *starving at work with no food working with pagan coworker* PLEASE, ANUBIS, TAKE PITY ON ME! I AM STARVING AND CANNOT AFFORD BREAKFAST OR COFFEE, SEND ME SOME MERCY! *doing so in a joking manner*
-45 Minutes Later-
Restaurant Manager: *hurries over with plate of burritos and tray of coffee* a group cancelled their orders and now I can’t sell these, here have it!
Honestly I don’t like or agree this whole mindset “someone who isn’t x has no business writing about a character who is”. I understand where some advocates of it are coming from, but I also think that they should have more faith in creators as a whole.
“White writers can’t write black characters well.”
“Straight people can’t write gay people well.”
“Cis people can’t write trans people well.”
Based on what exactly? You’re always going to have bad writers/badly written regardless of the authors race, sex/gender, and sexuality (a trend in both published works and fan content I see a lot now is “my character is x and that is their thing and their only thing”). As long as the character isn’t a horribly exaggerated and disrespectful stereotype, then anyone can write characters of any background that they want to. And even then I think that can be done well if it’s evenly spread out (think like in a comedy where all the characters get poked at. It’s even and fair; everyone gets a turn).
Plus I mean Black Panther wouldn’t be here today if not for a white man and we wouldn’t have Sailor Uranus and sailor Neptune if not for a straight woman or Priscilla Queen of the Desert if not for a cis man
These same people who say that stuff complain aboutnlack of diversity like SHARON YOU SET YOURSELF UP FOR THIS
YES! That’s what gets me! I love to use the example of Gabby Rivera writing America Chavez because you had a Hispanic lesbian writing about a Hispanic lesbian and it TAAAAAANKED. Meanwhile, you have Moonlight, one of the bet LGBT films in a long time, written by a straight man!!! Your race, sex/gender, or whatever don’t automatically make you a good writer of a given set of characters! If you want more diversity, why funnel down who can write that dieversity in and how they can write it?
THIS THIS THIS
There are certain people that can’t write for themselves and thus need people to write for them.
Someone with an extreme case of autism can’t write their experiences. Will a neurotypical or even a more high functioning autistic person like me be able to accurately portray their feelings and thoughts? No, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t at least try to portray them humanely to the best of your ability.
Should female writers just not write male characters and vice versa, because they’re not bigender or have any predilection towards being like that? Can I honestly not write about a straight or gay person because I’m not gay or straight? Fuck no. Lame lame lame lame lame. LAME LAME LAME LAME LOGIC. Everyone shut up, write about who you want, but if you want to be safe, talk to people who are X so that you’re not accidentally falling into stereotypes because they can sometimes be hard to perceive.
It’s hilarious because tumblr always gets on straight people and cis people to write lgbt characters YET when they do they say “um sweetie your a cishet you aren’t allowed to write lgbt characters” like?????
The reason its associated unfortunately with romance is the fact it is considered BL. Which a lot of people misinterpret (including antis) as it meaning romance. BL means by definition: comics that feature m/m relationships or sex. Does not mean its romantic. So KS is yes a BL comic for the two male characters (both admitted bisexuals) are technically in a relationship and sexual content. Is the sex romantic? Definitely not.
But no the series is meant to display what its like to be in an abusive relationship. there are ‘positive’ moments where the two show some care for each other or gentle moments such as kissing or emotional connections, but that is how real life abuse is. Its not just bad, lots of abusive relationships have their tender moments which is why for many its hard to leave them because they think of the good not the bad parts of it. So it is a very realistic depiction. So I enjoy it due to that. I myself have been harassed and manipulated in high school and the comic helps me cope but that is definitely not the same for everyone. Everyone is different.
Got a face lift that will be coming to the shop very VERY soon! I desaturated some of the pinks and added a bunch of new designs. This will be the last update this stone is receiving for some time. I’m SO PLEASED with how they look.
I’m going to have a ton of cool stuff to show off over the next few weeks! All things you can help me print/create/produce by contributing to my Indiegogo campaign! Found Here! I will love you forever ❤
If you don’t like killing stalking, you can unfollow me if you like or block me. I don’t mind. I don’t post much about it, but I do enjoy the story. Yes she did say she never researched it deeply, but she also said she based the characters off of what her mentally ill friends (who she did not name out of respect) said it felt like having the illness. Everyone is different, and I know plenty of bpd people (including my best friend) who read the comics and enjoy them.
But, this isn’t a blog dedicated to the series. I just enjoy it as someone who enjoys horror as well as psychological horror. You do not need to read it nor like the series, so feel free to block me if that is preferred. Have a great day!
I have super bad acid reflux, like projectile vomit sort of kind when your acids are getting out of control. I’m not feeling too hot so he went to the next door drugstore and bought me some tums for it and some ginger ale. Its the little things.
Does anyone else with Crohn’s or a digestion disorder have run-ins with vertigo? I was just standing at my desk and the whole room moved and I felt like I was falling.
I know my mom has vertigo, but she didn’t develop it until after menopause and I have had no children.
I may have IBS, but I only get dizzy/pass out symptoms when my stomach is super upset. And usually I am already in the bathroom.
i have a digestive problem my doctor hasn’t exactly specified but is treating me for, and I definitely get vertigo and dizziness. Usually I get it when I’m really nauseous or having more pain than usual.
Yeah I’m definitely in more pain than usual and super exhausted. It’s just never happened before so violently
I have digestive issues including sever acid reflux among other things. I usually get vertigo when I am dehydrated or in my case after long periods of vomitting.
I hope you start feeling a bit better. Its never fun feeling like death because of your own organs
never too old to learn how to write. or sculpt. or paint. or design.
learning an art is a decision, not a “talent.” you have to choose to devote time and energy to it. there are rare ppl gifted with the ability to pick up a skill faster than others, but ultimately it all comes down to the choice to invest in it.
Friendly reminder that Killing Stalking and other media that glorifies abuse especially towards lgbt individuals is problematic
When tf did it ’glorify’ abuse? It shows an abusive unhealthy relationship? Is that glorifying it?
Exactly. Showing an abusive relationship doesn’t mean glorification. By that logic, uncle toms cabin is racist and promotes slavery because the story *has* slavery….
To quote Lemony Snicket:
“I’m sorry, I’m at a loss on how to write a villain who doesn’t do villainous things.”
The mentally ill are much more likely to be victims of crimes. Sometimes their behaviors lead them to being more easily targeted for crimes, not through their intention but simply what they do or say and because sociopaths or manipulative people see them as easy targets that will likely not fight back or not know how to get help.
Killing Stalking portrays a mentally ill person who has found himself in the clutches of a sociopath. It is a “worst case scenario” situation because it’s not a mentally healthy individual who is being toyed with by Sangwoo who would be repulsed and terrified by his actions, but a mentally ill person like Yoonbum whose obsession with, and difficulty with consistently recognizing and acknowledging how *wrong* the actions of, Sangwoo thus makes it even more of a nightmare. You are a slave to your unregulated, illogical impulses brought about by your illness. He sees the danger and the threat but the malfunctioning parts of his brain still cling desperately to the idea that Sangwoo loves him. It’s not romantic, it’s pitiful and tragic and messed up in the same way that a person who is tortured to insanity by a villain ends up being their braindead slave. That’s what I get out of it as someone who fears that I will one day get in with a fucking serial killer due to my horrible judge of character and end up actually falling for them despite my better self telling me to haul ass out of there.
As a content creator and an animator who studied script writing and story development, you need some stories that are bad as in the characters are not good people. Without villains we cannot have good stories. And not all stories have happy endings, not all stories are happy. Look at the horror genre, that is a prime example of “problematic” stories and they have existed for centuries. Yes the story is about a very unhealthy abusive relationship, but it is not glorifying it, it is done in a way that is suppose to make you uncomfortable, on edge and scared. Its not romanticizing it as 50 Shades did, it is making it clear that this is not a healthy pair. And if people like them as characters, then they like them as characters. A good villain is a good villain, we like having people we hate. Bad guys have plenty of fans, look at Loki and Magneto, they are problematic for they have literally murdered people, many people. Yet I don’t see any call outs over them being problematic.
Just because a character is lgbta+ doesn’t mean anything, that doesn’t change who they are at the core. You can be good or evil no matter your sexuality or gender, and saying that a character who is bisexual cant’ be evil is absolutely ridiculous. Real lgbta+ people are abused, real gay men and gay women abuse their partners. So a depiction of someone abusing another bisexual man isn’t homophobic, that is just people jumping to conclusions. Abuse exists in all communities, and this shows the absolute darkest “worst case” of it.
If you do not like this sort of story, that is perfectly fine you can not read it. But, don’t bully or target others for it. “Problematic” media exists, and so does the block button.
It really depends on what the ash is from. Ash from incense is generally used for cleansing and warding though depending on the correspondences of the incense itself it can vary. Ash of written words or sigils hold the power of those words/sigils though to a lesser degree since usually that means they were activated. Ash from wood fires hold the correspondences of the wood used (be careful some woods are toxic to burn). Ash is generally used in jar spells or pendent spells, to make black salt, to use in warding or cleansing of something and for enchantments.
Want to know why Millennials and Gen Z aren’t going to be buying very many homes in the future. This is why.
This is not the same economy and housing market that our parents or grandparents grew up in. You can’t just simply work for a few years to buy a home. Not in 2018.
Are you referring to yourself making decisions and then doing those actions or someone else in the dream. if you are doing the actions yourself that is unfortunately not lucid dreaming, that is just having very realistic dreams. if the other people in the dream are doing what you want them to do ie run a direction or say something, that is more along the lines of lucid dreaming since then you have control of the dream. if you just have control of yourself but don’t realize you’re dreaming then its just a very realistic dream
