this is a weird ask but it has me worried, im used to dreaming every night with maybe one or two nights of nothing but it always goes back to normal. and super vivid dreams at that, i was keeping track of my dreams for a month before they just stopped. completely. i started college and am living in a dorm, but i brought some of my favorite crystals with me to keep things mostly normal. i’ve been under a good bit of stress, but i’m really starting to worry about why i’m not having dreams??

It could simply just mean you aren’t sleeping as well as you use to or that you are distracted, sometimes we don’t remember our dreams because of stress. Starting college and being in a new place can certainly do that

This may be stupid, but: how does witchcraft work? I was raised Christian, & with God/Jesus, he listens to/answers prayers (to wayyy simplify it, obviously). I’ve been interested in witchcraft for years & I’ve recently gotten into it more. I know that witchcraft involves the energy within the universe. With spells, for example, is it the energy you’re putting into the universe manifesting itself? Do you have an answer, or even recommendations on how I can learn more about this? Thank you!!!

Different people have different views on witchcraft. I for one see it as using your own energy and the energy around you to help influence things towards your preferred outcome. it is about connecting yourself and other things together, energy I do not believe personally just manifests out of now where, it just changes and shifts (thats the science side of me at least). I cannot personally connect to the Christian beliefs for I personally have never been connected to that particular religion or beliefs but there are plenty of Christian witches out there that you can ask questions to about the more specific path.

Where the h e c k do I even start writing a grimoire/bos? Im so confused?? Just generally? Help? (I love your blog btw ❤)

Aww thank you dear. Well I am on mobile so I can’t make neat fancy links right now, but go onto my blog and search the tags: grimoire and bos for all of my tags and posts about them as well as other information I found on the subject!

Essentially the best way to start a grimoire/bos in my personal opinion is get a binder or a notebook and begin taking notes! Correspondences is always a fantastic way to start!

As someone just getting into witchcraft and magick, what books should I start with? General stuff as well as things relating to spirit work and chaos magick

This is something I know that isn’t a popular view, but I don’t use witchcraft books. 98% of them I found were super bias in one way or another, I did mostly my research through crystal books, herbology books, and other such things rather than witchcraft specific books. I still don’t tend to enjoy them.

Hey… this is just. A small shout-out to those of you who have successfully left cults and/or are in the process of doing so. What you’ve done is very brave, and you are not wrong or evil or selfish for wanting to escape from that, even if the obstacles between you and freedom are psychological rather than physical, even if you feel foolish for thinking of it as a “cult”.

Furthermore: it is not strange rituals and clothing that defines a cult. It’s far less about religious beliefs than it is controlling group dynamics. It may be more useful to think of a cult as a type of emotionally abusive relationship in which members are groomed and manipulated by a leader and each other… the “theme” might be a god, an individual, or even something as innocuous as fandom. There may be cults within larger religions – even individual churches can construct group dynamics typical of a traditional cult.

it would be best if constituents from these districts called! ask some questions and let them know we are not ok with this!

Please please please call these reps and the reps in your own state. We NEED to maintain protection for these species, as it is the only way to preserve the ecosystems that we DIRECTLY DEPEND ON for carbon sequestering, clean water, and clean air!!

FUCK THIS. FUCK TRUMP, THIS CAN’T HAPPEN.

RESIST FIGHT BACK.

Save the EPA. Call your representatives.

How to spot fake news in eight simple steps

Consider the source

Click away from the story to learn more about the website, including
its stated mission and contact information. For a picture, try a reverse
image search to find out where it was originally used, and whether it
has been altered.

Read beyond

Beware of outrageous headlines, statements in ALL CAPS, and
sensational images designed to get clicks. Read the full story and then
investigate further.

Check the author

Do a quick search on the author to find out if they are credible (or
even a real person). What is the person’s background? What
qualifications do they have, and how are they related to the topic they
are writing about?

Supporting sources?

Check to make sure the links support the story – and are credible.

Check the date

Is this an old story?

Is it a joke?

If the image looks unbelievable or the news sounds too outrageous, it may be satire. Research the site and the author to check.

Check your biases

Consider whether your own beliefs might affect your judgement.

Ask the experts

Ask a librarian, or visit a fact-checking site.

The Navajo have a unique tradition. When a baby is born, it is regarded as the ultimate, precious gift and must never be abused. From the moment of birth, the child is watched over continuously by family and friends, who patiently wait for the child’s first…laugh.

“Has your baby laughed?” is common question posed to parents who have infants around the age of three months. The first laugh of a Navajo child is a very significant event. It marks the child’s final passing from the spirit world to the physical world, meaning he or she is now fully human. This milestone warrants a party, and what a party it is!

Whichever brother, sister, parent, cousin, aunt, uncle, or passing acquaintance is present at the first laugh is deemed to have caused it.  The laughter instigator then receives the honored privilege of preparing a special ceremony to welcome the child into society.

Once a baby has laughed, training in generosity begins immediately—a value held in high regard among the Navajo people. At the party, where the baby is considered the host, the parents or person responsible for the first laugh help hold the baby’s hand as he or she ceremonially gives the rock salt, food, and gifts to each guest. There are also bags of candy, money, and other presents that the child “gives” along with the food. [x]

Is this true? lol

Yes it is true. I have had of a few relatives invite me to a A’wee Chi’deedloh "The Baby Laughed Ceremony" however I have not had the privilege to actually attended one personally. The Dine’ peoples believe that babies are of “two worlds” (Earth people & Holy people) when they are born. The first laugh signifies the babies desire to become a part of the Earth People so it is a great cause for celebration.

This is beautiful.

This is so pure and good I’m crying

Modern Witches Daily – “Anyone can be a Witch”.

Here is the new page of the comic! There are some of my characters here, random ones too and others, inspired by your requests ♥

“Anyone can be a witch” is a very important theme! To me, everyone can do and be whatever they want! And, in that case, anyone can be a witch, any girl or boy, trans or non-binary person, old, young, Indian, Asian, black people or people from any country, any disabled and sick people, anyone and everyone can be a witch! Because I think this quote sums everything up, “Witches don’t look like anything, Witches are, Witches do.” ✨🌿🌘🔮

Lots of love to all the witches of this world ✧*:・゚🌍

i just read a washington post article on romcoms aging poorly due to the pushiness (and oft-stalkery conduct) of the male characters therein, and it got me thinking about pride and prejudice, and specifically darcy saying, “one word from you will silence me on this subject forever.”

because, like, that’s the seldom-portrayed romantic dream in the patriarchal hellscape that is our world, isn’t it?

a dude being willing to say, “i understand if you don’t feel the same way about me, and i’ll leave you alone forever about this if my attention is unwanted.”

so simple, yet so wonderful in its basic human decency

#it was written by a woman!
