My (possibly unpopular) Opinion

I see this a lot in not only the witch community but several communities and I have to put out my opinion.

I do not care what religion you are (Christian, Jewish, Wicca, Pagan, Buddhist, etc) if you think you can “pray away” disease, illness, disabilities, mental illnesses and/or other conditions that affect someone’s manner of life – you are the people I cannot stand. I fully believe that you can mix faith and holistic treatments WITH traditional medicine, but I will never ever support people who ignore the medical world. When I see children suffering from disease because their parents choose church or God or whoever to heal them over taking them to a hospital, it enrages me.

So let it be known to all who follow me, if you do not support modern medicine, I honestly see you as ignorant. I am not looking for arguments on this or debates. Anti-vaxers are just as ridiculous as well to me. All of that mindset is dangerous and harming real people. It needs to stop.

Follower Poll/Vote Time!

I need some help deciding what to tackle next. All of these will (hopefully) be done at some point though due to my insane work schedule I can’t do too many at once. So the options are:

  1. Stuck in the City: Storm Witch Edition
a long post similar to the others in the series about doing dorm and apartment friendly witchcraft related to storm and weather magick as well as some suggested spells, deities and altar tips
  2. Stuck in the City: Cottage Witch Edition
A long post similar to the others in the series about doing dorm and apartment friendly magick in this case related to traditional practices such as kitchen magick, tea magick and hearth related spells
  3. On a Budget Witchcraft: Kitchen Magick
A post for those witches out there who have strict budgets or just not much income and how they can still practice without need of buying large expensive tools. This particular one focusing on magick in the kitchen and related to foods and teas
  4.  On a Budget Witchcraft: Crystal and Gemstones

A post for those witches out there who have strict budgets or just not much income and how they can still practice without need of buying large expensive tools. In this particular post it would focus on cheaper crystal types, and more inexpensive substitutes for big fancy crystals.

  5. Deities of the World (part 1)
This post will be a bit different of a type of post it would be both history based and witchcraft for those who do deity work focusing on deities of different types and different lore figures throughout the world and different lore. It would cover sometimes more obscure faiths or cultures that may be partially closed but this is also for informational purposes. Each segment would be separated either by culture and/or deity archetype. This post is for everyone interested in mythology but also will have sections with recommend offerings and even in some cases prayers or old traditional ways of worshipping that particular deity. Some posts would have several deities in them and some may be focused on one singular one.

So I would love to hear opinions?

People are always making controversy where its not needed. About the “Baby Witch” thing, heres a simple solution:

If they want to be called a baby witch, call them such and don’t judge them for it. If they call one of their mentors or friends “witch mom” and they are okay with it, let them.

If they ask you not to call them “baby witch” or “witch mom” then don’t.

Easy as that really. It hurts no one when you respect their comforts and wants.

Anyone else remember the shorts called Leo and Satan?

They were huge back when I was in high school. So much so that the large population of extremely religous students protested it by making a religious study group called “Leo and God” and let me tell you I still remember them trying to rally people. It was cringe at its worst.

Opinion Time!

eclectichaote:

I just saw a curse that basically went along the lines of “make the person so unbelievably infatuated with you that they drown in their own emotions,” and I was like “… that just seems more dangerous than useful tbh.”

I don’t really care about it being a curse, that’s not the point – the point is you can’t really control how far that person may fall, or their actions after they have done so. Like, that just seems like it could end up creating you a stalker, which would end up causing you pain and problems too. Kinda defeats the purpose, while also putting you in a potentially really scary situation.

Love is a really unpredictable and volatile thing on its own, before you add magic into it.

I think that is a curse that sounds very much like it has a huge window for error. I won’t say backfire since I don’t see magick as that, its more of just a range of unexpected possibilities. I curse, a bit regularly depending on the situation but this curse seems extremely dangerous for the caster. Obsession is no joke, we can’t ever tell how someone can behave when obsessed. Some may turn out to be extremely toxic, and if you’re cursing them in the first place implies they are a toxic person.

And then if the point of the curse was to later shatter their heart so to say, that could make it even more dangerous. Some people cannot handle rejection. And an obsessive possibly stalker, person being rejected can result in some severe backlash and violence. This could really end seriously.

I recommend looking into other curses, for all of you cursing witches out there, that do not encourage putting yourself in such a dangerous position.

Keep your eyes out for my new stuff!

I am going to be posting I guess 3 new ‘series’? I don’t have a better name for them, of posts.

  • ON A BUDGET: posts about doing certain types of magic on a limited budget
  • STUCK IN THE CITY: posts for urban witches who are trying to get back to their natural roots but are in a more difficult position to do so
  • LESSER KNOWN MAGICK: general posts about magicks and witches that aren’t as commonly spoken about on here

Consider them hopefully new regulars to join around my posts of “Tools Of” series and “Crystals For” series 🙂

I looooove when people try to scam me for change. guy asked for two fives to be traded for a 10. I gave him a ten, which is pinkish, and he tries to claim i gave him a one. After counting my till twice it was clear that I had indeed gave him the right change. Plus, sir, I saw you slip that ten up your sleeve and my manager was right behind me.

If you’re going to try to scam a person for ‘wrong change’ try to do it sneakily. And not with security cameras right up on the wall, because guess what pal, you’re now on our security’s wall of ‘do not let in’.

Me: *starving at work with no food working with pagan coworker* PLEASE, ANUBIS, TAKE PITY ON ME! I AM STARVING AND CANNOT AFFORD BREAKFAST OR COFFEE, SEND ME SOME MERCY! *doing so in a joking manner*

-45 Minutes Later-

Restaurant Manager: *hurries over with plate of burritos and tray of coffee* a group cancelled their orders and now I can’t sell these, here have it!

Me: *softly* Anubis, you’re my bro

Me: I wish I had more people to nerd with

Friend: oh yeah I nerd, lol what do you like to nerd about?

Me: 70s to 90s technology, fashion history from before the 1900s, historical lost books and information, diseases that mysteriously showed up then vanished and no one knows why, automatons that have never been recreated, ciphers people can’t decode, and lost technologies that are starting to reappear today like voice activation

Friend: oh… I was thinking movies and stuff
