bees do not suffer from humans harvesting their honey, as they produce it to a level of excess that they cannot hope to use.
not only that, but without people deliberately breeding them for honey, they would have died out by now.
this especially goes towards you vegans who don’t eat honey thinking it’s animal abuse. don’t go out and buy agave nectar, which is so frequently made using inhuman labour policies. use honey, the best way to save bees.
The overharvesting of agave is actually harming the animals that naturally feed off the plants such as certain types of bat. Protesting honey is killing bees and harming the livelihood of beekeepers, aka people who chose their job, not who were forced into it.
Gay boys who see me with a girl and say I shouldn’t be allowed in lgbt spaces because I’m actually really straight
Straight girls who see me as their “gay friend” or who say they don’t care about sexuality but wouldn’t date a boy who’s had sex with a boy
Straight people in general who say “isn’t he really just gay” or telling girls that I’m actually gay and faking it with them
Gay people who say that because I have the option of dating a girl I’m the same as the straight people who oppress our community
Gay people who say I’ll never understand oppression or what it’s like to “actually” be gay
So there’s quite a few people not letting them!!
Keep reblogging this post all the comments are people showing how much they hate bisexual people
Biphobes unfollow me, you’re not welcome here. LET👏PEOPLE👏LOVE👏WHO👏THEY👏WANT👏
I haven’t seen a post like this for bi boys, only for bi girls. let’s fix that.
I had a coworker tell me that my bi boyfriend was faking it with me and was actually gay because bisexual men don’t exist. I pointed out that I’m bi too and he said “that’s different, you’re a girl”
Let bi boys be bi! Dont question them and don’t you DARE correct them or tell them what they are. They know who they are, not you. Biphobes fuck off my blog
Everywhere I look, people are saying shippers make fandoms toxic but in actuality, all the shippers I’ve ever met have been very friendly people who are welcoming, positive, and only wanna share the stuff they love. I’ve never met a nice anti. I’ve seen antis tell real people to kill themselves over fictional characters. I’ve seen antis shut people down and reject them for their interests. I’ve seen antis go out of their way to shit on people’s artwork, and a lot of the time those are young artists who are trying to evolve their artistic skills and get to know themselves through fandoms, ships, and art and they’re already self-conscious about their skills and vulnerable to anti-blogs with 100s of followers who tell them they’re “toxic”. I have never seen anything positive come out of an “anti” movement.
In fact, I’d dare to say shippers are stronger in their morale than antis. I’ve never seen someone who ships something of sensitive topics say “I think this is okay in real life too.” In reality, a lot of them have specifically stated that they are against those types of relationships. In that way, shippers are stronger in morale because they can tell the difference between reality and fiction. I’ve seen antis who’s favorite characters are physcopathic murderers and that’s alarming because if you claim “what you support in fiction dictates what you subconsciously support in reality” then what does that say about you and your favorite character Stabby McGee? If what we like to see in fiction dictates our reality than characters should never have any flaws. No one should be allowed to like villians.
But this is the worst of them all. I’ve seen artists undergo trauma and use ships to cope, only for antis to tell them to stop because that makes them uncomfortable. Really? You’re uncomfortable? Say someone was raped, a horrible trauma you can’t even begin to understand, and they start using a ship to vent their frustration and calm themselves by projecting aspects of their experience onto characters they love and are familiar with in order to cope, and they share it with other people to not only let go of some of their suffering, but to share their experiences with people who might have went through something similar and then you come along and tell them to kill them to kill themselves because that’s wrong and shameful and it makes you uncomfortable. So they shut down their blog and in turn shut themselves in again. Because you couldn’t manage to scroll past something you didn’t like seeing.
I don’t think antis are bad people. I think they think they’re doing the right thing, but you’re really causing damage and making a fandom more toxic than the shippers ever did. The best thing to do is say “Hey, I don’t like that ship at all, and I’m gonna block list the tag, but you do your thing and I’ll do mine and we can both enjoy this thing we mutually like in different ways!” And if some art for the ship ends up in the wrong tag, either scroll past or give a polite reminder. It’s not hard, and most of all, it keeps things positive and avoids the real “toxicity” of a fandom; hate.
I’ve meet a few nice antis- although and anti can only be so ‘nice’ considering their views..
Like most people don’t like to admit this, but one of the reasons a lot of us have so many mental health issues is because we live in a world that has basically become untenable. People can’t afford basic necessities, let alone to cultivate their interests or take breaks and rest or do any of the things necessary for good mental health. People my age are wracked with debt, working at jobs they hate or studying topics they hate, living in a shitty apartment with five roommates. We live in a world that’s very hard to be healthy in. So while yeah, a lot of people obviously do have mental illnesses that would need medication no matter what, they are greatly exacerbated by these issues, and a lot of people have basically just been thrust into an eternal situational depression. So if that doesn’t change, medication is just a band-aid.
Do yourself a favor and learn how to walk away. When a connection starts to fade, Learn how to let it go. When a person starts to mistreat you, learn how to move on.. to something and someone better. Don’t waste your energy trying to force something that isn’t meant to be.. Because the truth is.. for every one person who doesn’t value you – there are tons more waiting to love you better. Do better.
someone created a random generator that creates randomized inspirational quotes overlaid on random images in a soothing fashion and each and every image is comic gold
it’s pretty much the best thing ever and here are some of my favorites so far

Mine got a little political so I tried again
Captain Flint? Is that you?

Aw, that one’s sweet!
Wow, thanks edgelord
I DON’T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS BUT I AGREE
CAPITALISM IN A NUTSHELL!
AAAAND my personal life motto:
I need this on a poster.
It saw into my soul.
My friends get the good ones
Mine started off as an edgy teen so I kept trying.
Then we got weirdly political….
Mine all seem to have a theme
Nothing like a long soak in a hot bath after standing for 8 hours
My hole, my fish! This is my fish in the hole! What are you doing? The audacity!.. [fox runs off, then returns] The audacity!! Why are you like this! You can’t be this fuckin shameless! Dude!! [fox jumps slightly, but doesn’t run off] Have some decency! Where are you– Who asked– Damn. [fox tries to steal the fish again] The audacity!!! How dare you? Don’t eat. Don’t eat! Don’t eat!! Off! This is my capelin! My fish, I’m telling you! My fish, my hole! [fox starts digging, the man watches quietly, then laughs] You’re quite a character. Aight, take, take it. [fox finally takes the fish] Good boy. This is for your digging trick. Good job.
Just a heads up right now: on the day when Trump dies, I’m going to be extremely tasteless about it. It’s going to get ugly. You are going to see a side of me I am not proud of. I don’t want any call-outs in my inbox, I’m stating right now that lines will be crossed.
How disgusting can someone be
I wouldn’t even say this about my worst enemy
Forget the fact that its trump. If you agree with this youre fucking evil. Evil literally lives inside you. Wow.
Anyways all of y’all AND the evil that literally lives inside of you are invited to the sick ass house party I’m throwing when lord dampnut kicks the bucket
I feel like all you Americans need to take a look at what happened here in the UK after Maggie Thatcher died. Because when it comes to tasteless celebrations fuelled by anger and the death of a hated political leader, we REALLY pushed the boat out. We had street parties. We had burning effigies. We pushed “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” to the top of the charts out of sheer hatred. Bone up kiddos, and I really hope you manage to do that truly American thing, of dramatically outdoing us with your celebrations.
What was the first witchy tool you ever purchased? Mine is a white candle
I’m trying to remember this. I think the first “I am a witch” tool was probably one of those pretty glass and crystal wands.
Hm. My memory is pretty unreliable, but I know I was gifted my athame. So… I think my first intentionally witchy purchase was a scrapbook to use for my grimoire.
This is a great question but hard for me to answer. I didn’t even call myself a witch for most of my magic career.
-Some demons are really cool and make awesome friends!
-Some demons want to kill you and do bad things to you
-Along the same lines, hellbeings can be very nice or very mean
-Some spirits look scary but are actually very kind
-Some spirits look sweet/cute but actually want to hurt you in the worst ways
-Not everything is black or white, evil or good, apples or bananas. Sometimes spirits can be in between, or off the charts completely.
-(The previous statement applies to their moral alignment, their ethics, their friendliness, their desire to hurt humans, and pretty much anything else)
-Spirit work is really fucking dangerous, but there are ways to be safe.
-Yes, spirits can affect your physical body. It happens, good or bad.
-Wards. Look up warding. Get a good handle on warding before you start practicing spirit work.
-Spirits are actual beings, which means that they have thoughts, feelings, and lives outside of you and yours.
-Safety should probably be your #1 priority in spirit work, unless you really have a death wish for yourself (or enjoy being in immense pain… I’m not going to judge)
-Spirits and spirit work are probably going to be different than your expectations.
-The spirit world is much different than ours, but can also be quite similar!
-Once you start working with spirits, more tend to show up. You kind of send out a signal that attracts other spirits once you flip that spirit working switch to the on position. Not all of them are going to be friendly.
-Spirits can be dirty lying decievers, but they can also be your best and closest friend, depending on which ones you meet. And sometimes you’ll think a spirit is ur best friend just to find out, days/months/years later, that they’re actually a dirty lying deciever! Don’t trust them right away!
things to do to increase psychic abilities. these are what i personally do as a claircognizant empath to enhance my knowledge of the world around me 🌻🌎💫
pull a daily tarot card, rune, or other divination device
sit down and paint something impressionistic. “but James!” you say, “I’m not an artist!!” well, bullshit. you don’t needa be artistic for this one, kiddos. i just use an index card and a small brush, then pick whatever colors im feeling that day. is it swirly? edgy? scattered? dark? light? interpret this, then reflect later to see if it was correct
think of a person you’re gonna see in the upcoming day. what outfit are they wearing? is their hair different? is there something in their teeth? write these things down, then see later if they are correct
meditate. yes yes i know, the dreaded tip. if you have adhd like me, or you just can’t sit still, do it while stretching, walking, cleaning, showering, or doing any monotonous work. even if it’s only for 3 minutes. just focus on what you hear, see, smell, feel, etc. it helps, trust me
keep a dream journal (yea i know, another dreaded tip)
write down every little thing that could maybe possibly be considered psychic. get a call from someone you were just thinking about? guessed what song would be next on shuffle? write it down
speaking of song guessing on shuffle, do it!! it’s simple and fun, even if you don’t get it right every time
spend more time with your divination tools, even if you aren’t actively using them. put them near your pillow (okay no lie this tip reeeeaaaallyyy helps), take them to work, put them next to your bath, whatever works for you
raise your vibration. and i know this can mean a lot of things for different people, and it also sounds rly hippy, but listen. what i mean is, constantly check yourself- your surroundings, your random thoughts, your emotions, etc. set an alarm to remind you to be more aware, if you gotta. if you are aware of what’s going on externally and within, you will be more prone to noticing your psychic tendencies
make your own sigils. this is one of the easiest form of magick, and can be done by anyone. make sigils for everything- “i am psychic,” “i am confident,” “i am suspected of secretly being Godzilla,” honestly everything. the point isn’t to make sigils that necessarily work, it’s just to sit down and put an intention into physical form. this is kinda like the painting one, except instead of thinking abt what could happen, you’re stating what will/is happening, which is important.
place a piece of amethyst on your forehead for a few seconds every night while laying in bed. doesn’t have to be too long, just long enough to let your muscles relax and let out all the tension from the day
and thas it! feel free to add more if you can think of something i didn’t put
I wonder where the break happened that such wide swaths of younger fans don’t grasp fandom things that used to be unspoken understandings. That fic readers are expected to know fiction from reality, that views expressed in fic are not necessarily those of the author, that the labels, tags and warnings on various kinkfics are also the indication that they were created for titillation and not much more, please use responsibly as per all pornography. The ‘problem’ isn’t that so-called ‘problematic’ fic exists but that some of the audience is being stupid, irresponsible, at worst criminal, at best not old enough to be in the audience to begin with. And that’s on the consumer, not the author who told you via labels, tags, ratings, warnings and venues what their fic was about and what it was for.
Do not threaten an artist with ur life, do not use ur life as blackmail to get free art, you will either cause them to have a panic attack or much worse, if you really are a fan you will not do this, ever. I’m so angry that they used suicide to get free art, it’s not something to be taken lightly, and I do not want anyone else to be harassed by this person, I haven’t answered after what they said and immediately reported and blocked them, no remorse will be shown/given to them. And just a reminder to everyone that we appreciate people who treat us like they’d treat everyone else.
Reiki is a traditional Japanese energy therapy that uses spiritual energy to help balance and heal the body. It is good for a huge number of things (though some energies like void and possibly death energies do clash with Reiki); it can help stimulate healing and balance on all levels.
In my Reiki healing sessions I will assess your energy systems giving you a detailed account of what is going on in each area, as well as allowing my empathic abilities to give me greater insights. I will let you know if I find any troubling areas; such as parasites, blockages, holes or tears, etc within your energy body. If I do find any troubling things I will talk with you to create a game plan for your healing session. (I have experience with energetic surgery if the need arises.) Then I will either implement the plan we create or I will give you an overall Reiki healing session.
$35 for 30 mins
$50 for 45 mins
$65 for 60 mins
$95 for 90 mins
I also offer 2 additional services you can add to your Reiki Session for $5:

I will create a crystal grid tailored to your healing session which will enhance the energy sent to you in your session.
*Tarot Reading
3 card tarot reading to give us better insight into your situation.
Energy Reading $15
I offer a general energy reading of your 7 major energy centers. This does not include any healing services, this is only an overview of what is going on in your energy body at this moment in time.
Tarot Reading $1 per card
You can choose from my Shadowscapes Tarot deck, Ostara Tarot deck, Dragonfae Oracle deck, or The Crystal Wisdom Healing Oracle deck.
I retain the ability to decline to read for any question that I am uncomfortable about.
Rune Reading $1 per rune

If anyone would like to talk about learning Reiki please contact me for pricing regarding Reiki 1, Reiki 2, and Reiki 3 levels. I am a Reiki master who has been practicing Reiki for almost 4 years and has been a Reiki Master for over a year and half with multiple level attunements and students.
Just because you did something wrong in the past doesn’t mean you can’t advocate against it now. It doesn’t make you a hypocrite. You just grew. Don’t let people use your past to invalidate your current mindset.
Bruh. This needs to be a mandatory post on everybody’s blog. Y’all really be pullin out decade old receipts like woah.
Warren and Tyagi demonstrated that buying common luxury items wasn’t the issue for most Americans. The problem was the fixed costs, the things that are difficult to cut back on. Housing, health care, and education cost the average family 75 percent of their discretionary income in the 2000s. The comparable figure in 1973: 50 percent. Indeed, studies demonstrate that the quickest way to land in bankruptcy court was not by buying the latest Apple computer but through medical expenses, job loss, foreclosure, and divorce.
Giving up a latte or another such small extravagance in this environment wasn’t going to be enough. Yet the personal finance shills continued to tell people their problems were mostly of their own making.
This strikes me as being directly related to those jackholes who are enraged when someone poor has some small or relatively small luxury: they think this is how economics work.
I’m tired of feeling guilty for every tiny indulgence that makes me feel human.
This makes me remember a story a friend of mine told me.
He was in a college course for learning financial stuff, like how to invest wisely and shit like that because he was working for the local library system in their accounting department and had to be able to advise employees on how best to use the new investment options the library was offering.
So, the professor tells the class that they should ALWAYS be saving at least $25 per paycheck into a savings account even when it’s hard because that is the only way to get into the habit of saving and also the quickest way to having emergency cash, but it was better to do at least $50.
Not terrible advice, certainly, but… My friend said there was no way he could do that. The professor scoffed at him about high dollar luxuries like coffee shop drinks or name brand food or clothes or a computer or using the bus instead of a car.
Now, my friend did not own a car; he bike rode everywhere. His wife used the bus. Both he and his wife worked. He did not buy name brand food; he got cheap store brand food in bulk and only bought what he already knew would be used in his meal calendar planned for two months at a time. He brewed his own coffee at home. He kept his electricity usage to a minimum and taught his wife and children to do the same. His kids weren’t indulged with sweets or many toys. They didn’t buy candy or hobby items. They got the free local TV channels which they honestly only used to track weather on a salvaged TV they got from a friend. They only got new clothing when their kids grew out of the old or something of theirs was too worn to patch or repair and always from thrift shops. All their furniture was secondhand and usually picked cheap from garage sales. They made the agonizing decision to purchase a home instead of renting because the net savings over all were justifiable because the house payments were cheaper than renting. They budgeted for a total of ten dollars to be put in the savings account per month, not per paycheck.
My friend and his wife planned their expenditures down to the cent at least two months in advance to make sure they could make it. They constantly researched to find the absolute best value of every item they bought. Thankfully, my friend had the analytical mind for that kind of planning. No purchase ever went unremarked upon or without heavy consideration, no matter how small. They spent wisely and stretched every dollar as far as it could go.
My friend brought in a hand written copy of his budget (because he didn’t have a computer or printer and paper was an expense he built into the budget so he could do the planning) and showed it to the professor the next day in front of the class and asked, “Where do I squeeze out $25 per paycheck?”
The professor hemmed and hawed as he went through the budget. He kept starting to say something on one line or another and then would stop himself and go to the next. Sometimes he would say shit things like “where is your gas column?” “We don’t own a car.” He spent about twenty minutes staring at my friend’s carefully planned and managed budget and could not see a single place where it could be improved.
“I guess you can’t,” the professor said and was apparently so bitter about being wrong that my friend had to keep from laughing at him even though the entire experience had soured him something awful.
People who are not struggling do not understand how money works for poor people and just assume we are horrible at managing it instead of realizing we just don’t have any. Luxury items aren’t killing us; low wages and a shit economy are.
Kylo Ren really is a great example for how sci fi/fantasy writers should tailor their worlds to fit the times, so it could resonate with the actual audience reading them. There would be no point in making a Hitler villain anymore, because we’re not afraid of Hitler, we’re afraid of the 25-year-old malcontented white boy who fondles Hitler memorabilia while sulking in his room.
Somebody pointed out to me that the First Order aren’t coded as Nazis, they’re coded as neo-Nazis, which is worse, because these are people who looked at horrific historical atrocities with the benefit of hindsight and went, ‘Yes, that’s exactly what we should do again, but this time more’
People complaining that Starkiller Base is a rip-off of the Death Star and that Kylo Ren is a whiny emo fanboy don’t realize that this is exactly the point
Welcome to Tumblr, the site where you are encouraged to reblog worldwide suicide hotlines but it is perfectly acceptable to tell someone to kill themselves over fictional ships.
I have felt like a train wreck these past few days, it only makes sense that I’ve got an infection.
I went to the doctor and told him I haven’t been in over 2 years so he ordered a full lab work up (including an hiv test, is that commonplace these days?)
He’s also gonna check my thyroid – I was told I had nodules on my thyroid almost 10 years ago but they weren’t too worried about it.
It seems like my health is catching up with me and I’m nervous as hell.
Okay, so I understand this is controversial, so feel free to ignore me. I believe that what we call “physical illness” is always a symptom of imbalance. Either within ones self, or with the environment (and considering the artificial nature of most people’s environment, I would say this applies to most people). The body then manifests increasingly severe symptoms in order to catch our attention. If we go to a “doctor” they will look to rid us of these symptoms (i.e. “illness”) but this only allows us to keep ignoring what we are trying to communicate to ourselves, and in most cases the underlying problem goes untreated, resulting in chronic disease. This in turn leads us to associate with “being sick” which is, in my opinion, the exact opposite of what we need to heal.
Instead of being anxious that you are ill, try affirming various times a day that you trust in your body’s ability to heal (you have to believe it for it to work, so maybe read up on natural healing mechanisms). Also, instead of ignoring pain or dis-ease, try focusing on it, meditate with it, and pay attention to psychological turmoil this may cause. There a problem you’ve been procrastinating because you feel there is no solution? Maybe it’s time for a drastic change, something you tell yourself is impossible, but really want. Since I don’t know you, it is hard to pinpoint the cause, but anyway noone will ever know you as well as you can, so try trusting in yourself and your ability to heal.
There is a really nice video with Bruce Lipton and Rupert something I can’t remember, where they talk about if a machine gets cut in two, you have a broken machine, but if a magnet gets cut in two you have two magnets. Energy fields are self-regenerating. We are more than just flesh machines. Don’t let the flesh mechanic tell you otherwise.
(Also, I’m not saying there aren’t physical influences in disease, but there is no such thing as a disease which blindly infects everyone. There are reasons we are susceptible to illness, and this reason can sometimes be out of our control, like our mother’s womb environment, but since you say it has snuck up on you, I hazard to guess that the cause of this vulnerability be more recent… or something small having been ignored for very long?…)
I’m gonna try to respond in the least offensive manner possible. I am a nurse, a healthcare professional, with two years of experience (not much but I’m working my way up and learning more and more every day). Disease is real, and you can’t physically combat it without modern medicine. Meditation and affirmation may help do things like lower your heart rate and blood pressure for a short amount of time but if you’re predisposed to high blood pressure due to genetics or an underlying disease process, i.e. kidney disease, you are not going to be able to will it away.
There’s no one disease that “blindly infects everyone” because everyone is unique in their DNA and genetic makeup. Everyone handles disease and illness differently in the way that they heal from acute illness and adapt to chronic illness.
Sure, physical illness is a symptom of imbalance, but a very real tangible one that can be seen via various medical tests – labwork, xrays, cat scans, ultrasounds, ekgs, etc.
Modern medicine is a wonder, and not every healthcare practitioner is out to get you.
I understand that in flesh-mechanic school they teach that modern medicine is the only answer. I also understand that health-care practitioners are generally well meaning, and not out to get anyone, per say.
But I also believe that modern medicine is based on a lot of ignorance. This is not an oppinion I have made willy-nilly, but rather the result of over a decade of study and practical experience.
I also never suggested that illness could simply be “willed away”. I tried to say that the underlying cause of disease is often living in an environment which is toxic, both physically and psychologically. In my opinion, most acquired disease can be treated with drastic lifestyle changes. Not just physical lifestyle, but thought patterns, habits, and learned morals. To regain a natural environment is very difficult, and while meditation is a great tool, it is not enough.
Also, I believe that modern medicine is based on fear of disease, which attracts disease. I am working on collecting case studies to present this argument to the scientific community at large. I don’t believe disease and death should be erradicated, but rather that each one of us could do to learn to look death in the face without fear, and be happy we are going to give something back to the natural world we parasite while living (not that I don’t worship survival instinct, but for me, the two must go hand in hand)
I also recognise that disease has a point of no return, so to speak, and that there are things we cannot hope to cure in our life-time. I do not shame those who use drugs to facilitate the enjoyment of existance while it lasts, but I do value natural remedies over synthesised ones, since the pharmaceutical industry, in hopes of maximising profits, may cut corners, pay for trials which blindly give the results they want, or otherwise just take substances out of their natural healing context, that is to say, the natural healing energy of the living thing it comes from.
Disease is real, but it can most definately be treated without modern medicine. You are free to disagree, but I believe this opinion is one of the most distructive in terms of modern though patterns which alienate us from nature.
You know, once upon a time I knew a dude named Paul. He was living on a commune when one day, he got an infection. Funny enough, he followed every last step you “prescribed” re: the usual self-healing bullshittery.
Guess what? He nearly lost a toe. Matter of fact, he almost died. Because he waited and waited and waited, all thanks to this kind of rhetoric.
Sorry bud, but no amount of belief will heal an infection the way antibiotics can. So you can put that in your “wooden-object” and smoke it.

I stopped reading after “flesh mechanic school.” This is absurd.
I’m all for holistic medicine to ASSIST with modern medicine. But holistic medicine will not cure cancer, remove diabetes or anything like that. Yes its good for you in some cases like chiropractors have been proven to help with muscle pain and joint pain. But you can’t just clean your house and think positively to get rid of a major health condition! Stop telling people to do so, that is dangerous thinking.
SEE A DOCTOR WHEN YOU ARE ILL, WITH AN INFECTION OR INJURED! I’m serious.
